Beulah was founded by friends Natasha Rufus Isaacs and Lavinia Brennan as the result of an inspiring holiday to India. There, they spent time working with women rescued from sex trafficking, teaching them sewing skills that enabled them to create products and generate an income. They got to witness firsthand how sustainable employment can break the cycle of poverty and re-exploitation, and resolved to support their efforts with a sustainable business.

Beulah works closely with their global partners to incorporate a range of regional and traditional techniques such as hand-embroidery and silk block-printing into our collections. The founders also support the development of new skills, equipping vulnerable women with the means to generate sustained employment and in turn, the freedom to define their future.
